Nanoplasty
General
Nanoplasty is an advanced hair reconstruction treatment that works at the molecular level. Unlike traditional keratin treatments that coat the outside of the hair strand, nanoplasty uses nanoparticles to penetrate the cortex and rebuild the hair from within. The result is smoother, healthier, stronger hair that lasts significantly longer than a standard keratin treatment.
Keratin treatments work on the surface of the hair strand, depositing a protein coat that temporarily smooths frizz. Nanoplasty penetrates the cortex, the inner structure of the hair, and bonds at a deeper level. This means nanoplasty results last 6 to 8 months compared to 3 to 4 months for a standard keratin, and the treatment actively repairs hair health rather than just improving appearance.
In Sydney's humid climate, nanoplasty typically lasts between 6 and 8 months. Because it works inside the hair rather than on the surface, it is significantly more resistant to humidity than traditional keratin treatments. Longevity depends on hair type, the aftercare products used, and how frequently the hair is washed.
Yes, nanoplasty is one of the few smoothing treatments that is genuinely safe on bleached, highlighted, and double-processed hair. Rosana uses a specific nanoplasty formula designed for blonde hair that contains violet nano-pigments, which tone while treating. This means bleached hair comes out smoother, healthier, and neutralised, without brassiness.
Nanoplasty pricing in Sydney varies depending on hair length and condition. At Rosana Guido Hair, we assess each client individually and provide a personalised quote at consultation. We recommend booking a consultation before your treatment so we can recommend the right protocol for your hair. Contact us or book online to get started.
Not immediately. Nanoplasty is a chemical process, and applying it too soon after another chemical service (such as bleaching, lightening, or a full colour) can compromise your hair health and affect the results of both treatments.
As a general guideline, we recommend waiting a minimum of 2 weeks after any chemical service before booking your nanoplasty. If you have just gone blonde or had a significant colour change, we may recommend waiting longer depending on the condition of your hair.
The good news is that nanoplasty and colour work beautifully together when done in the right order and with the right timing. Rosana will assess your hair at consultation and let you know exactly when it is safe to proceed — and how to get the best result from both services
Yes, it can. Because Nanoplasty is a thermal treatment, the heat used during the process may cause artificial hair colour to lighten slightly or shift in tone, particularly with freshly coloured, red, fashion, or darker shades. If you've recently coloured your hair or are planning to, we'll recommend the best timing for your appointment to achieve the best possible results while preserving your colour.
Yes. We offer a complimentary touch-up appointment within 7 days of your Nanoplasty service if needed, to ensure optimal performance and the best possible results. If you notice any areas that may need extra attention, simply contact us within 7 days of your appointment and we'll be happy to assess your hair and schedule a touch-up if appropriate.
